Hello, I’m Sarah Archer and I’m a career coach based in London. I founded CareerTree in 2010 because I wanted to work with people who wanted their careers to be satisfying, engaging and rewarding but didn’t know how to make that happen. On the journey to becoming a career coach, I discovered that my passion lay in enabling career change and development, and boosting career confidence. As a career coach, I can also work with you on your job search and provide you with CV and interview techniques, all important in the later stages of the career change journey.
“Sarah helped me to reflect on my values and identify what skills I am good at and enjoy. It was a really helpful starting point for me to reflect on my career and start focussing on the future. I was able to specify what areas I wanted to go over and Sarah supported me in a challenging way – helping me to find the answers. I enjoyed the holistic approach which I think is vital. Thank you, Career Tree!”
How I Work
As a career coach, I have a client centred approach which means it’s all about you! Together we work out the best approach for you to achieve your goal so you receive a tailored approach within the framework of a coaching programme.
I post blogs, videos and free resources regularly, both here and on the CareerTree Facebook page, to share inspiration and ideas for your career change journey. If you’re not sure about whether a career coach is right for you, please read my blog ‘Is a Career Coach worth the money?‘Read my blog
What I want for you?
As your career coach, I want you to fall in love with your career, whether that is by re-energising your existing career through approaching it in a different way or by helping you identify a new career that will tick as many boxes for you as possible.
I want you to leave my career coaching programme with a clear strategy and action plan for how to achieve your goal with renewed enthusiasm, self-belief and career confidence.
How I Can Help
“I was in need of a career change and the career coaching sessions with Sarah really helped me to analyse my strengths and skills, and to identify new possibilities I would not otherwise have considered, in a fun and non-threatening way. Within weeks I was in a new and completely different job and I know that the sessions with Sarah were instrumental in me securing this new role. I whole heartedly recommend CareerTree’s coaching to anyone seeking guidance on the next step in their career”.
One thing you should know about me as a career coach, is that I’ve been where you are. Back in 2007, I was in a job that I just didn’t enjoy anymore but didn’t have a clue what to do next! Yes, I’ve experienced career change too and have had to start all over again. Luckily my career change worked out and I now get to do what I love – career coaching! I am a qualified career coach – I was trained by Career Counselling Services and also have an MSc in Career Coaching. My research on career confidence has been published by Coaching: an International Journal of Theory, Research & Practice. Add to that my 20 year career in Human Resources working at a senior level in the commercial and voluntary sectors, which allows me to bring an employer and business perspective to your career coaching experience.
I also write regularly on careers for The Guardian, Psychologies and various other publications, as well as taking part in online panels for Guardian Careers and Mumsnet.Read Success Stories
